If anyone guesses it, they'll receive a largely worthless reward!
EDIT:
And we have a winner!
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! successfully identified the stick figure as Stalin, and subsequently determined that the event depicted by the extremely wobbly rectangles and squares was, in fact, the collectivisation of farming within the Soviet Union!
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is the runner up, and was in fact the first to guess that it had anything to do with communism!

As I'm not entirely sure what you mean specifically by 'hurler', I'd say not! I wouldn't call it inappropriate, either, thought it does represent what a lot of people would consider a historic injustice.

![]() 03/17/2015 at 22:39 |

They're supposed to mean I suck at drawing, I'm afraid. The fellow on the left was pretty much at the top of the pile, so far as communism goes - which ought to be an oxymoron, but there you are - so it isn't that. The concept being represented is more... Specific.
![]() 03/17/2015 at 22:41 |
|
I really hope the dude who the moustachioed fellow on the left represents actually thought that at some point.
![]() 03/17/2015 at 22:42 |
|
Previously you lived in the suburbs, now more rural, perhaps even on a farm.
![]() 03/17/2015 at 22:43 |

Nope, but the historical figure represented by the incredibly poorly drawn stick figure did likely think that, at least so far as ownership is concerned.

I just don't understand why you would include the pen in the photo which you didn't use for the illustration. Also square face is ok with current situation while round face is thinking about an ex.
![]() 03/17/2015 at 22:48 |
|
Some of the other comments were better, although I would never guess it correctly. It was fun to play this game. I am sure you got a lot to think about how others view your sketch and how far our interpretations were from your original concept.
![]() 03/17/2015 at 22:49 |

No, but Le Corbusier did once submit a design proposal for a palace in the country the event depicted by the picture took place in.

Top is a woman; bottom is a man.
The boxes represent how many things they look for in a respective mate.
![]() 03/17/2015 at 22:52 |
|
Yeah, I probably should've cropped out the pen. I actually took this picture about three years ago, and I suspect the only reason it's there is that the board marker probably wouldn't have done a very good job of writing in my notebook. Round face and square face are actually supposed to be the same individual; square face is a response to the inadequacies of round face.
![]() 03/17/2015 at 22:53 |

When there are just 3 people you don't get a private box each, so murder your neighbors? That way you can all share a big-ass studio apartment and live in sin.
![]() 03/17/2015 at 22:54 |
|
I could actually see that.
![]() 03/17/2015 at 22:55 |
|
You're bang on with the farm connection, though the event depicted did actually coincide with a lot of people doing exactly the reverse of that.
![]() 03/17/2015 at 22:56 |
|
The private box thing is surprisingly on-point.
![]() 03/17/2015 at 22:57 |
|
Well I did read some of your input on the other comments before my guess. The murder your neighbors bit was just for comic relief though.
Something to do with living quarters, apartment vs barracks or something...
![]() 03/17/2015 at 22:58 |
|
The two stick figures are supposed to be the same person - I'm utterly terrible at drawing - so no, but I think you just gave me the answer to a question I asked of another responder.

It worked.
![]() 03/17/2015 at 23:01 |

You're the closest yet. Both stick figures are Stalin, and the picture as a whole represents something he actually did.
![]() 03/17/2015 at 23:02 |
|
Also, the buildings in the second picture would be akin to barracks.
![]() 03/17/2015 at 23:07 |
|
The three buildings are house, barn and loo (outhouse here). Upon the discovery of the adjacent loo (pit with a seat over it), you moved back to the city.
![]() 03/17/2015 at 23:09 |
|
Larger scale, and it didn't involve me specifically, but that was a bloody fantastic answer.
![]() 03/17/2015 at 23:14 |
|
Does it have to do with collective farming? Like the top one is saying no to many individualized farms and the bottom is essentially saying yes to one group of a few farms?
![]() 03/17/2015 at 23:17 |
|
http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebi…
VICTORY! The picture was actually drawn as part of the starting activity of a history class I took three to four years ago, the focus of which was collective farming under Stalin in the Soviet Union!
![]() 03/17/2015 at 23:20 |
|
And now, your reward...
It's a previously-unavailable-on-the-Internet picture of a Volvo P1800ES, that I took at around the same time as that history class!
It carries some amount of personal significance to me, as it was my quest to ascertain the identity of this car - it didn't have any badging on the back - that lead me to Jalopnik, and subsequently Oppo, in the first place!
(I said it'd be mostly worthless, okay?)
![]() 03/17/2015 at 23:20 |
